Construction debris removal starts at the $199 quarter-truck rate, with a typical single-room gut running $329 to $549. Standard renovation waste is priced by volume. Dense material — concrete, brick, tile, dirt and roofing shingles — is billed by weight instead, because that is how the transfer station charges us, and we quote it up front.

We are not licensed for asbestos, lead abatement waste or any hazardous material. Pre-1980 popcorn ceilings, some older vinyl floor tile and certain pipe insulation can contain asbestos, and that needs a licensed abatement contractor and a documented disposal chain — not a hauler. If you are unsure, get it tested before demolition rather than after.
Why contractors use a haul-off instead of a dumpster
A roll-off dumpster makes sense when debris accumulates steadily over weeks. It makes much less sense on a fast residential remodel, where it sits half-empty for days, occupies the driveway the tile crew needs, may require a street permit, and lands you with a tonnage overage you did not forecast.
A scheduled haul-off is the alternative: we come when the phase is finished, take exactly what is there, and the driveway is clear again the same afternoon. On a kitchen or bath remodel, that is usually the difference between the next trade starting tomorrow or next week.
Working around a live job site
We work in occupied homes and active sites constantly, so the practical stuff is routine: runners on finished floors, plywood over new tile where a dolly has to cross it, and stacked loading rather than dragging. Tell us which areas are finished and we will treat them as finished.
Scheduling is where most of the value is. If you are between trades, give us the window and we will hit it — including early starts and Saturdays. For multi-phase jobs we can set a standing slot, so demo waste goes out the same day each phase ends rather than migrating into the garage.
Weight, volume and honest quoting
The single most common surprise on debris jobs is weight. A half truck of drywall and lumber is straightforward. A half truck of tile, mortar and concrete can weigh several tons, and disposal is billed to us by the ton.
So we ask what the material is, not just how much. Tell us it is a bathroom tear-out with tile and a cast-iron tub and we will quote accordingly. That is a better outcome than a low quote that gets revised on site, which is what happens when nobody asks.

Flat pricing applies to standard household junk. Concrete, dirt, roofing material, tires, refrigerant appliances, hazardous material, excessive weight, stair carries and unusually long carrying distances may be quoted separately. We confirm your price before anything is loaded.

Can you take concrete, brick and tile?
Yes, but it is quoted by weight rather than volume because the transfer station bills us by the ton. Tell us roughly what the material is and how much when you request the quote and we will price it properly up front rather than revising it on site.
Do you take asbestos or lead paint waste?
No. Those require a licensed abatement contractor with a documented disposal chain, and we are not licensed for either. If your project involves a pre-1980 popcorn ceiling, older vinyl floor tile or certain pipe insulation, get it tested before demolition starts.
Can you come the same day we finish demo?
Usually yes, including early mornings and Saturdays. Contractors are most of this work, so we keep slots open specifically for between-trade clear-outs. For multi-phase projects we can set a standing slot for each phase.
Is a haul-off cheaper than a dumpster?
For a single-visit residential job, often yes. A dumpster's headline price frequently excludes the street permit, tonnage overage and the days it occupies your driveway, and you still do all the loading. For debris that accumulates over weeks, a dumpster is genuinely the better tool and we will tell you so.
