Appliance removal starts at $99 for a single unit. Refrigerators, freezers, window AC units and dehumidifiers contain refrigerant that requires certified handling, which adds a small recycling fee we quote up front. A full kitchen of appliances is usually the $199 to $329 range.

The crew handles basic disconnection: unplugging, shutting off and disconnecting a water supply line to a fridge or washer, and disconnecting a dishwasher. We do not cut or cap gas lines or do electrical work — a gas range or a hardwired unit needs a licensed plumber or electrician to disconnect it first, and we will tell you plainly if that is the case rather than improvising.
Refrigerant and why it changes the price
Refrigerators, freezers, AC units and dehumidifiers contain refrigerant gases that are regulated under the federal Clean Air Act. They cannot legally go into a scrap stream until the refrigerant has been recovered by a certified technician, and the facilities that do that work charge us per unit.
That fee is why a fridge costs slightly more than a washer of the same size, and we put the exact amount in your quote rather than adding it on the day. It is usually a modest figure, and it is the difference between the unit being handled properly and being dumped.
Where appliances end up
Large appliances are mostly steel, aluminium and copper, which makes them one of the most valuable things in a truck. Working units in good condition can sometimes be resold or donated locally. Everything else goes to a metal recycler, where the motors, compressors and casings are separated and reprocessed.
If you have several appliances — a rental turnover, a kitchen remodel, a property clear-out — keep them in one place if you can. Clean scrap has recycling value, and a load that is mostly metal is one we can often quote lower.
What it costs
Single appliances are flat-priced. Multiple units are cheaper as a volume load than individually, and refrigerant recycling fees are always stated in the quote.

Flat pricing applies to standard household junk. Concrete, dirt, roofing material, tires, refrigerant appliances, hazardous material, excessive weight, stair carries and unusually long carrying distances may be quoted separately. We confirm your price before anything is loaded.

Do you disconnect the appliance?
We handle basic disconnection — unplugging, shutting off and disconnecting a water line to a fridge, washer or dishwasher. We do not cut or cap gas lines and we do not do electrical work, so a gas range or a hardwired unit must be disconnected by a licensed tradesperson before we arrive.

Yes, and we would rather they did not get scrapped. Working units in good condition can sometimes go to a local resale or donation outlet. Tell the crew if a unit is functional and we will try that route first.
